Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
God has given every Believer a purpose for being on planet Earth Ecclesiastes 3:1. As we begin to understand it, see it more clearly (vision), and pursue it, our lives will be filled with meaning, motivation, and passion. Yes, it can be revealed to us Galatians 1:15, 16, we can know it 1 Corinthians 2:9, 10, and we can press into it to apprehend it Philippians 3:12-14.
It requires focus (Luke 9:51) and constant dependence (2 Corinthians 3:4, 5) on God to fulfill the works we have been foreordained to do (Ephesians 2:10). We will be tempted a thousand times to turn back, turn away, or get off track with lesser things. Satan does not have to destroy us to defeat us, only distract us. Sometimes our enemy destroys our focus off of our assignment by giving us another assignment or goal thus diverting our energy, time, and resources. We must learn to say no to the demands of lesser things and keep our eyes on the target. Sometimes we can think we are great at multi-tasking but all it does is get us off course. Paul said, “But this one thing I do …” Philippians 3:13.
