GOD HAS ROLLED OUT THE RED CARPET

Hebrews 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. 13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, 14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. 15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. 16 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife. 17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: 18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: 19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; 20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Bible hope must be laid hold of.  It is not automatic. Bible hope anchors our soul.  An anchor stabilizes, secures, keeps you in a safe place and keeps us from drifting. We can have hope because we have His promises. We have His promises because we have a covenant. We have a covenant because of Jesus’ blood. With the promises of God that give us hope we can enter into and connect to that which is behind the veil. That means we can connect to God beyond the veil of human flesh and this natural world into Heaven itself. (Hebrews 10:19,20 calls the flesh a “veil”).

Have you ever heard the phrase or idiom “Roll out the red carpet?” If you roll out the red carpet, you treat someone in a special way, especially when welcoming them. Every promise which has been secured for us by Jesus’ Blood is rolled out and extended to us like a red carpet flowing from God’s throne room all the way from Heaven. We are welcomed by Him to come boldly (confidently) to the throne of grace to obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16). We already have His “yes” and “amen” for every promise 2 Corinthians 1:20. “Yes,” affirmative, you can have it and “Amen,” so be it.

We have the hope of Heaven set before us, of course, but also hope within everyone of God’s Covenant promises. The hope set before us as a promise was purchased by a blood covenant.  Jesus’ blood, that makes hope available, dropped behind the veil and covered every need. Jesus was our forerunner; scout; precursor; a person sent before to prepare the way for another. Unlike the Levitical High Priest who was the only one who could enter into the Holy of Holies in the Old Testament, we have a High Priest we can follow all the way into Heaven itself.

There is no situation, problem, or circumstance men can face that is not covered by the covenant in Jesus’ blood behind the veil.  The power of the universe abides there, God Himself.  Jesus already entered in there with His blood. We have a covenant in blood with the God of the universe.  That blood entered behind the veil.  The hope that comes from a covenant promise connects us to God Himself in Heaven within the veil in the holiest place of all.
