LIVE WITH REGRET OR REJOICING

Live with regret or rejoicing

Romans 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

1 Peter 1:8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

Life doesn’t always go the way we’d like it to go or expected it to go. This can cause us to do one of two things as we think about the future:

  1. WE CAN LIVE WITH REGRET.

We can feel sorry about things that are gone or lost.

We can feel troubled about things that have happened.

We can feel bad about things we have done.

We can be sad about things we have left undone or should have done.

Thank God that there is mercy (Hebrews 4:16) and we can ask for forgiveness for what we regret we have said or done (1 John 1:9). While at the same time make every effort to repair and reconcile relationships where you have caused offense.

  1. WE CAN LIVE BY WHAT WE BELIEVE AND REJOICE.

We can learn to believe God and turn our regrets into rejoicing.

There is joy and peace in believing Romans 15:13.

When we believe we can rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory 1 Peter 1:8.

I think I will choose living by what I believe instead of living with regret. How about you?
