GOD’S PRECEPTS ARE ALWAYS RIGHT

gods precepts are always right

Psalm 119:126 It is time for thee, Lord, to work: for they have made void thy law. 127 Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold. 128 Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.

Making moral judgments in our culture today, saying what is right and wrong, is not politically correct. The world’s standard of morality has become a matter of personal preference like choosing flavors of ice cream. The reality is that they simply replace the moral absolutes of the Bible and God’s Law with their own. To them making moral judgments is always a sin and tolerance is a virtue. Christians need reminded that one day God will judge the world in righteousness Acts 17:31, His righteousness, not the world’s version of what is right.

Acts 17:30-31 says, “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: 31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.”

Believers today (weak in their faith) refuse to make moral judgments and vocalize them for fear of being labeled intolerant. Silence in the name of tolerance where God’s Word is violated in my view is essentially fear of man and indifference to the God some say they love. We should speak out against injustice wherever it is and by whoever commits it.

The world’s version of what is morally right and wrong is hypocritical and based on a double standard. (Sadly, it is evident in how some Christians have voted that the world’s standards have more influence on them than God’s precepts which are always right about all things).

To the world it is OK to kill unwanted babies due to the inconvenience they present but wrong to kill some animals even for food.

It is OK to have any form of sex you want with as many partners as you want even if it promotes the spread of deadly disease yet it is wrong to encourage school children to practice abstinence.

Political office holders amass huge amounts of wealth and yet at the same time demonize anyone that is successful and say through their socialistic rants that we should spread the wealth around.

Some leaders want to confiscate guns from everyday people while employing armed security guards and living in walled security castles while argueing against a border wall.

It is OK to lock down an economy in the name of safety and protecting people’s health but not OK to protect our nation’s sovereignty with enforceable borders and entry requirements.

Elites enroll their children in the best schools they can find but argue against a parent having the right to choose the best school for their child.

The list could go on and on but the bottom line is that to them their views are absolutely right and if you challenge their views as being wrong you are intolerant and absolutely wrong. So much for tolerance from those who reject God’s absolutes and say everything is relative.  Proverb 16:25 says, “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”

Whose morality, whose standard of what is right and wrong, good and evil should we live by? There are many different philosophies fallen men use to define right and wrong or who is right. How about this as the psalmist said, “…therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.” Psalm 119:126 sums up my prayer, “It is time for thee, LORD, to work: for they have made void thy law.”
