THE UNALTERABLE LAW OF FAITH

Living by faith and walking by faith is to be a way of living life (Habakkuk 2:4; Romans 1:17; Galatians 3:11; Hebrews 10:38) for every Believer. There needs to be a renewed commitment to live by faith, not on the basis of a crisis but on the basis of a commitment.  God does not want us to draw back from opportunities where our faith is challenged.  Whatever is beyond natural possibility, God expects us to walk by faith 2 Corinthians 4:18; 5:7.  Instead of accepting the challenge of what is only possible by faith, many choose to live by the limitations of what is only naturally possible.  God has no pleasure when we do that Hebrews 10:35‑39.  It is faith that always has and always will please Him Hebrews 11:6.

Some think it is up to God for them to be blessed, healed, guided, delivered, and have peace; and if it does not happen, it must not be God’s will. Not true.  Faith begins where the will of God is known, and His Word is His will; He has given us the authority to act on it. Some think God will heal, guide, supply, deliver, bless, or whatever because they are basically good people. Doing well is certainly important, and there is a law of sowing and reaping; but God awaits an expression of our faith and does not act on just our goodness.  God is moved by our faith. Some think God responds because He sees their need, their condition, and He is a good God. God has already moved and that is why He sent Jesus. Faith understands that God already moved first in His grace when He sent Jesus, now all that is necessary is a response of faith.

How does God enter into the darkness of a sinner’s life? A person gets saved; and God enters their life because they hear something, believe something, and express belief by a confession Romans 10:8‑17. If God was ever going to force His way into a person’s life, it would be to save them; but the unalterable, works every time law of faith is that a man hears something, believes something and says something, resulting in receiving. Faith is called a law in Romans 3:27 because laws are designed to work every time they are put to work. A law is that which is assigned, prescribed, or set up by statute or the ordinance of God; a principle, force, or impelling influence. Here is what we should understand:

1. It works every time because it is the law of faith.

2. It was prescribed by the ordinance and statute of God to work that way.

3. That is not a formula, legalism, or bondage.  It is a Bible truth.

4. It is not to be hard on us but to help us.

5. It is not to be bondage to us but to bless us.

6. He did it so it would be exact, dependable, a sure thing.

Jesus demonstrated a truth about the God kind of faith, spirit of faith, law of faith, in all four major areas when He taught on faith (Matthew 17:20; Matthew 21:21; Mark 11:23; Luke 17:6). “If you have faith, you shall say….” This is not some isolated, unimportant principle of truth. Do you think Jesus knew a little about faith and had a little revelation of what faith is? It is the first thing God dealt with Joshua about prior to their entering the Promised Land Joshua 1:8. It is what Jesus is High Priest over in Heaven Hebrews 3:1; 4:14.
