Him being delivered by the determinate (predetermined plan) counsel and foreknowledge of God, you have taken and by wicked hands have crucified Him Acts 2:23.
1 Peter 1:18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you.
The precious blood of Jesus was shed for the sins of the whole world. It was the plan of God from before the foundation of the world. Man’s sin and fall did not catch God off guard. Jesus was the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world Revelation 13:8. His Crucifixion and Resurrection did not just happen by chance. The Roman soldiers were not following their own plan of execution. They unknowingly followed a foreseen, foreknown, predetermined plan of God. He was crucified according to the predetermined plan of God. “Him being delivered by determinate (predetermined plan) counsel and foreknowledge of God, you have taken and by wicked hands have crucified Him Acts 2:23.” Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you who by Him do believe in God, that raised Him up from the dead 1 Peter 1:20.
The exact procedure in every detail was described in advance of what would happen by God in His foreknowledge.
He would be spit on and beard plucked Isaiah 50:6.
His appearance would be marred Isaiah 52:14.
His back would be striped Isaiah 53; Psalm 129:3.
He would be wounded, bruised, chastised, stricken, smitten, afflicted, cut off from the land of the living Isaiah 53.
His hands, feet, and side were pierced Psalm 22:16, 17.
Why? He was the only one that could free us; He was the only one born free from the captivity of sins hold; He was innocent and never sinned making him the only suitable substitute. He would through destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil.
ONLY HIS BLOOD COULD REDEEM US FROM OUR SINS, “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot 1 Peter 1:18, 19.”
ONLY HIS BLOOD COULD OPEN UP THE GRAVE, “Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant Hebrews 13:20.”
ONLY HIS BLOOD COULD OPEN UP HEAVEN, “Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us Heb. 9:12.”
ONLY HIS BLOOD CAN OPEN UP OUR LIFE TO A FORGIVEN LIFE, A BLESSED LIFE, A LIFE WITH GOD, “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace Eph. 1:7.”
IT IS HIS BLOOD THAT WASHES OUR SINS AND MAKES US KINGS AND PRIESTS, “And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion forever and ever Revelation 1:5, 6.”
IT IS HIS BLOOD THAT PROVIDES THE TITLE TO THE SONGS IN HEAVEN OF THE REDEEMED, “And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth Revelation 5:9, 10.”
