2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
The Apostle Paul had a unique ministry assignment. He was to complete the deficiency or what was lacking in the revelation. Colossians 1:23 says it this way, “Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God.” What was kept secret from previous generations was to be unveiled through what he wrote. As a result of these revelations he faced numerous attacks by the enemy even at one point a messenger form satan (2 Corinthians 11:23-28; 12:1-8).
The devil constantly tried to push Paul down but he kept getting back up. What could make him so unstoppable? Second Corinthians 12:9,10 tells us:
He had “bounce back” power – the power of Christ. He said this power would “rest upon”, lit. “to tent upon.” The word for power is “dunamis,” which is miracle power; miracle working ability; force; might; strength and power. It is power for the hard spots in life. It is the same power we have within us. No matter what has happened in your life in 2019 know of a certainty there is “bounce back power” available as we move through 2020.
