Ps. 122:1 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.”

There is no doubt joy and gladness is in God’s house. It comes from His presence, His Word, His Spirit, prayer, praise, and worship. It comes from fellowshipping with other believers who walk in the joy of the Lord.

There is another aspect of joy and gladness the Psalmist in Psalm 122:1 mentioned when he said, “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.” He hasn’t gone to the house yet but he’s experiencing joy just talking about it. The river of joy was bubbling up in him simply by the mention and anticipation of going to the house of the Lord. I pray that is your experience as you head to God’s house today. Stay joyful Christian brothers and sisters.
