Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have DOMINION over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. 29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing SEED, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
The law of sowing and reaping (seedtime & harvest Genesis 8:22) is a master law God gave man to use that goes back to the Garden of Eden. Man was to fill the Earth, subdue it, and rule over it. God gave man dominion and seed in Genesis 1 as the main way to increase, bring a harvest, and filling up the Earth. God emphasized seeds bear fruit according to their kinds with the fruit having seed in it and the seed having fruit in it. What is dominion and what is a seed?
DOMINION is the right to bear rule, subdue, and subjugate; it implies initiative or the authority to initiate and the responsibility for beginning; the right to introduce a thing; the action of taking the first step; ability to think or act without being urged.
SEED is the source, origin, or beginning of anything.
God’s plan was for man was not a miracle but a process. It was a seed for your need system.
God was saying this is My system. I put you in charge; the Earth is your area of jurisdiction. Nothing just happened but all increase was by seedtime/harvest and in order for him to thrive and not just survive he had to work the process.
The fruit you want to see is in the seed. Increase always comes by:
- Dominion – take your responsibility for beginning and
- Seed – the beginning of anything (Your seed is anything you have received from God that you can sow into someone else or areas of your own life).
We waste a lot of time calculating our losses instead of taking inventory of what we have been given as seed. We look at what “we have not” instead of what “we have got.” If you will examine yourself you will come to realize that you are a walking warehouse of seed. We need to quit envying the harvest others have and recognize our seed. We need to quit waiting for something good to come to us or for someone else to decide it is time for us to succeed. We need to quit waiting for a break or luck and take inventory of what you have as a seed that you can sow.
