Mark 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

The New Year can be used as a focus point for evaluation and then a starting point for a fresh start for the year to come. It is a great time to take inventory of one’s life or to examine oneself to make any changes. Now after taking inventory don’t forget to also exercise your faith (Mark 11:22, 23) for a New Year. Faith will still work in 2019. Our faith reaches forth or stretches forward to the things God’s planned, provided, and designed for us to bring the best out of us. Many believers are into merely surviving and not reaching or stretching forth to anything. Start this year out reaching for something. Don’t settle for survival when you can thrive by reaching forth to all God has planned for you. As long as you are reaching you are believing and this is the victory that overcomes the world. Exercise your faith for a New Year by:

1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

If you don’t believe the love God has for you and that He has your best interest in mind you can easily reject His plan for your life like the rich young ruler did in Mark 10:22 and walk away from it.

Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

You are not an accident but you were born again by the will of God John 1:13 and He has foreordained things for you to do Ephesians 2:10, things you can have 1 Corinthians 2:9, 10, and the quality of person you are to be Romans 8:29. God never saved the wrong person.

John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

The Holy Spirit lives inside and the throne of grace is ours to access. His grace is enough of what is needed to enable us to do all that is required 2 Corinthians 12:9. It is sufficient!
