Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Fear does not belong to the child of God because Jesus delivered us from it Hebrews 2:14, 15. Fear inhibits us from operating in God’s strength and makes us weak. Many Believers have known the Lord to heal them, given them peace, prosper them, and comfort them, but what about strength? He will strengthen His people. Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Psalm 29:11 says, “The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless His people with peace.”
You may say, yes, I need strength but how does the Lord strengthen us. There are multiple way:
We draw strength from:
Psalm 28:7,8 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. (v 8) The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.
Psalm 71:14-16 But I will hope continually, and will yet praise theemore and more. (v 15) My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof. (v 16) I will go in the strength of the Lord God: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only. (Ps. 8:2; 50:2; 84:7; 110:2)
Psalm 20:2 Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion. (Ps. 84:7)
- Knowledge of God’s Word
Proverb 24:5 A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength. (Dan. 11:32; 10:19; Col.1:11,12)
- Speaking God’s Word
Joel 3:10 Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghook into spears: let the weak say, I am strong. (Ps. 19:14)
- Obeying God
Joshua 14:8, 11 Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made wholly the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the Lord my God. (v 11) As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in. (Pr. 10:29)
