Psalm 5:12 For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favor wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
Favor from God is always given in the pursuit of His purpose for our lives. Noah (Genesis 6:8), Joseph (Genesis 39:4, 21), and the children of Israel (Exodus 12:35, 36) were given favor to advance the purpose of God in the Earth. The path of purpose (to our promised land of destiny) is the path to finding God’s favor in manifestation in our lives. Positionally, we are already blessed and highly favored because we are in Christ but to experience it is dependent on our walk and pursuit of God’s purpose. Favor is never given to squander on self centered pursuits or self serving interests.
God did not just save us for Heaven but also for a destiny and purpose on Earth. In the Old Testament God brought the children of Israel out of bondage in Egypt to bring them in to the Promised Land. Deuteronomy 6:23 says He brought us out to bring us in. It was God’s favor that produced the victories for the children of Israel’s entry into the Promised Land, their place of purpose and destiny. Psalm 44:3 says, “For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.” We need to enter into all God has planned or purposed for us, for that is where we’ll find His favor on our life.
