STAY POSITIONED FOR FAVOR

STAY POSITIONED FOR FAVOR

Favor is ours by virtue of our spiritual position in Christ Ephesians 1:3. It is a manifestation of God’s grace, blessing, and goodness to us. Spiritually we are already positioned on the right side of God, the side of His favor, but we have to stay positioned for favor in our everyday walk to experience it. Sin breaks our fellowship with God and is a step into darkness. James 1:17 says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”

Stay positioned for favor by:

  1. KEEP (obey) GOD’S COMMANDS AND DON’T FORSAKE MERCY

Proverb 3:1-4 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: 2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. 3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: 4 So shalt thou find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

  1. EXALT WISDOM

Proverb 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. 8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honor, when thou dost embrace her. 9 She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace (favor): a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.

Proverb 8:35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favor of the Lord.

  1. BE GOOD AND DILIGENTLY SEEK GOOD

Proverb 12:2 A good man obtaineth favor of the Lord; but a man of wicked devices will He condemn.

Proverb 11:27 He that diligently seeketh good procureth favor: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.

– Seeking the good, best, or well being of others; Not mischief (hurt, harm, wrong, evil, bad) to them.

  1. LIVE RIGHT AND DON’T MOCK SIN

Proverb 14:9 Fools make a mock at sin; but among the righteous there is favor.

Mock – laugh at, ridicule, scorn, or show contempt for.

  1. KEEP GROWING SPIRITUALLY STRONG

1 Samuel 2:26 And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favor both with the Lord, and also with men.

Luke 2:40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.

52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.
