Hebrews 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
Our life experience in the natural can be full of limitations. A limitation is a restriction, a boundary, a limiting condition or circumstance. Limitations can be physical, mental, emotional, social, economic, and spiritual.
People of faith do not draw back (to cower under, shrink from, or withdraw from; to hold oneself back from some fearful concern) from limitations.
Faith can break natural limitations:
Like Peter who walked on the water, he did what was naturally impossible and what circumstances said couldn’t happen (Matthew 14:22-33).
Like Blind Bartimaeus who had something missing in his life, his sight; but what he did have, faith, got him what he didn’t have, his sight (Mark 10:46-52).
Like the man at the Gate called Beautiful, a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked was healed and ended up walking, leaping, and praising God (Acts 3:1-8).
Faith has no racial limitations.
All ethnic groups can have faith. Chinese, Africans, Russians, Asians, Hispanics … and Americans can all have faith. The Bible is not an Eastern book or Western book but a God book filled with faith.
Faith has no economic limitations.
The richest and poorest can have faith. Faith will work on Wall Street or the gutters of the street. It will work for up and outers as well as down and outers. Faith in God can bring anyone up out of poverty and into blessing.
Faith knows no social limitations.
God can bless people of prestige and power as well as people with no influence. Faith can obliterate the concept of class warfare.
Faith knows no religious boundaries.
Faith jumps religious boundaries. It does not belong to a certain religious group. A Catholic can have faith, a Presbyterian can have faith, and Pentecostals can have faith.
Faith knows no family boundaries.
Faith can break curses and strongholds passed down through generations to where all families of the Earth can be blessed and experience God’s grace and favor.
Faith knows no limitations.
We must believe that or we will not ever have a growing faith (2 Thessalonians 1:3). The great man of God Oral Roberts said, “The moment you quit living by faith is the moment you quit living a life that pleases God.
Don’t draw back from the limitations you face but rise up in faith and believe in the God Who can do the impossible.
