John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things.
The Holy Ghost is our Teacher and He will teach us all things. What does all things include? All things means all things whatsoever “Jesus had spoken to them,” all things inspired by Him in “the Word of God,” and all things that are a part of “the wisdom of God.” The greatest teacher of the Church is not any man, although there are great men. The greatest teacher of the Church is the Holy Ghost. The Bible says we have an anointing that is on the inside of us and it teaches us all things (1 John 2:20, 27). The Holy Ghost is that anointing in us and He knows everything. He is omniscient. We may not be perfect in knowledge, but He is. Job 36:4 says, “He that is perfect in knowledge is in you.” He can teach us beyond our actual knowledge, because he is the Omniscient One. That is a superior teacher. How many things defeat us because we just do not know? How many times would we have done something different if we had just known? How many times have we suffered because of lack of knowledge? If we just would have known, things would have turned out better.
The Bible also says in 1Corinthians 2:13, “…We speak not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth….” He is talking about a teaching ministry here, but it is not the teaching ministry of a man. He is talking about that which the Holy Ghost teaches. When He teaches us, we can discern spiritual things. He helps us compare spiritual things with spiritual things so we can make proper judgments and decisions. He will help us get the balance on truth. The Holy Ghost is in us to unveil spiritual things to us. Most of that teaching flows into our understanding as we pray in the Holy Ghost, meditate on the Word of God, and also as we listen inside while sitting under anointed teachers in the Body of Christ. There are a lot of things we would not know from the natural unless we have spiritual understanding or unveiling by the Holy Ghost to help us to understand it. Thank God for the teaching ministry of the Holy Ghost.
