New Microsoft Office PowerPoint Presentation

God has given us a purpose for being on planet Earth and time is given us for the fulfillment of that purpose (Ecclesiastes 3:1). There is no dimmer switch in fulfilling our life’s purpose for we are either on purpose or off of our purpose.  Let me share a few words with their definitions and ask what you’d like out of life:

GOOD – favorable; suitable; OK; agreeable; adequate; satisfactory.

BETTER – more attractive; favorable; commendable; more advantageous or effective; improved in accuracy or performance; greater than half improved.

BEST – the greatest degree of good or excellence; excelling all others; a superlative to good; most productive of good, advantage, usefulness or satisfaction; to the greatest advantage; maximum effort; the most favorable circumstance.

I’m sure most people would choose “best” as to what they’d like out of life. The best possible life we can have on Earth is the one God planned for us. That is a life fulfilling His purpose or intention for our life. The power to be our best is in the discovery of our purpose and we can have it revealed to us (Galatians 1:15, 16). Part of that revelation comes to us as we respond to His calling for we are all called according to His purpose (2 Timothy 1:9). A calling is a summons and an invitation that requires a response. God doesn’t force or draft anyone into His army. He calls and we respond. All believers are called if you received Jesus (John 1:12), are born again, a new creation, or saved. We are also called to service and to function in some way as members of His Body, the Church.

As a child of God you are a part of the Church and the Greek word for Church is, “called out ones.” You are a called out one, called of God and have a calling to purpose. Your past condition, present circumstances, personal characteristics, or private concerns are no obstacle to God Who knew all about all of that when He called you to salvation. God can really use your life if you will let Him. It is time to find our place in the Body of Christ and begin to function with the gifts and graces we’ve been given. There are no unused members in His Body.
