1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
The Resurrection is the loudest voice that speaks, “This is no time to quit or lessen your service to the Lord.” The Resurrection of Jesus is both a fact of history and a spiritual truth. His Resurrection guarantees ours whether it is a physical resurrection from the dead or Rapture of the living 1 Corinthians 15:51-58. The Resurrection is the basis for Paul’s conclusion and commands where He commands three things for all Believers in relationship to the work of the Lord.
- Be ye steadfast,
- Always abounding in the work of the Lord….”
This is the time to be abounding (to be in excess; excel; to overflow; to superabound in quantity and quality) in the work of the Lord. Contrary to how some wrongly portray the Rapture as a cop-out, it is actually a catalyst to the work of the Lord. No one knows the nearness of time the Rapture or Resurrection but it is closer than when we first believed as Romans 13:11, 12 says, “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.” The day of the redemption of our body is coming and at that time:
Our earthly opportunities will be gone forever.
Our destinies will be fixed for eternity.
Our works will be manifested and judged.
BE STEADFAST, UNMOVEABLE, ALWAYS ABOUNDING IN THE WORK OF THE LORD
