There was a time we were without Christ, without God, without a covenant, without promises, and without hope in this world. That time of having no hope is gone for every Christian. We have hope because we have promises; we have promises because we have a covenant with God; we have a covenant with God because we have the Blood of Jesus (Ephesians 2:12, 13).
Romans 15:13 says, “Now THE GOD OF HOPE fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” God is a God of love and faith but also the God of hope. Hope is not just wishful thinking but a powerful spiritual force available to Believers. It creates a confident and favorable expectation or anticipation of good. It gives us something to look forward to with the feeling that what we desire or want will happen.
God’s promises are full of hope and His Spirit can cause us to abound in hope. Give God’s Word some of your time today and allow the Holy Ghost to paint a picture of a better tomorrow in your heart. Go to His promises and you will find hope beyond this natural world. There are times when all you have going for you is a vision (hope) and a profession of faith but that’s enough. “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for he is faithful that promised Hebrews 10:23.”
