John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Freedom is a very precious possession. Every created thing desires and enjoys freedom whether it is an animal in a cage, an insect in a jar, or a dog on a leash. It is no different for human beings. The problem is all mankind was sold into the slavery of sin, satan, and the curse when Adam fell in the Garden of Eden. We would all be slaves now and forever with no hope of deliverance if it hadn’t been for God sending Jesus to set us free.
Whom the Son sets free is free indeed (Jn. 8:36).

As born again believers we are free from sin, satan, and the curse.
We are free from sin’s penalty, power, and one day of its presence.
We are free from keeping the Law of Moses to merit salvation.
We are free from the traditions of men and man-made religious rules.
We are free from the enslaving law of sin and death.
We are free from the carnal judgments of men and the fear of man.
We are free from having to conform to the spirit of this world and all of its philosophies, theories, and vain deceits. We are free from sickness, disease, and infirmities.
We are free from every demonic force and power.

All of this freedom was purchased for us in Jesus paying the redemption price (Rm. 3:24; Eph. 1:7) and all made available by the exceeding grace of God. We didn’t earn it, work for it, nor deserve it, but it is ours. We are now free to live as we OUGHT to (by God’s will and standard) not as we WANT to (by self will and our standard). As we walk with God and our mind is renewed, what we OUGHT to do becomes what we WANT to do.

Now by the grace of God we are:
Free to serve;
Free to obey the Word;
Free to be led by His Spirit;
Free to choose to be submitted to God’s rule;
Free to live holy and righteously;
Free from all the power of the devil;
Free to share the glorious Gospel in all the world;
Free to walk in anointing power and supernatural gifts;
Free to walk in the wisdom of God, have the mind of Christ, and be filled with the knowledge of God’s will.
Free to be controlled by the fruit of our spirit which is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance.

Thank God for freedom.
