Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
The Holy Spirit is first and foremost a “Holy” Spirit. Holiness is always grieved by sin. Don’t ever for any selfish reason or for the sake of another human being grieve your closest companion, the Holy Spirit Ephesians 4:30. They live with you but He lives in you. You will never hurt those who live with you if you will focus on not grieving the One who lives in you. If you grieve the One who lives in you then you will hurt your life as well as those who live with you.
There’s things the Holy Ghost wants to do for us every day including today. They come through what the Bible calls communion with the Holy Ghost 2 Corinthians 13:14. As we fellowship with Him, He will:
COMFORT – John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
TEACH- John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
GUIDE – John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
HELP – Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
STRENGTHEN – 2 Timothy 4:17 Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
