Ecclesiastes 9:8 Let thy garments be always white; and let thy head lack no ointment.
Hebrews 6:18, 19 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: 19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil.
The Bible reveals that when a person receives Jesus that they become a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). There is a change that happens instantly in the spirit part of their being. Man is a three part being, spirit, soul, and body. The change that happened instantly in our spirit is to happen in an ongoing way in our soul called the renewing of the mind (Romans 12:2). Our thinking is to be transformed to think like God thinks and in line with His written Word. While this process of transformation is taking place the Bible also indicates that our soul (mind, will, and emotions) needs an anointing and an anchor. Ecclesiastes 9:8 says, “…let thy head lack no ointment [anointing]” while Hebrews 6:19 says “…which hope we have as an anchor of the soul….” Our soul (our mind, will, and emotions) is apparently helped with anointing and an anchor. Anointing (which is power) removes burdens and destroys yokes of the enemy (Isaiah 10:27) and an anchor stabilizes us and keeps us from drifting.
I have found by meditating upon and making affirmations of faith tremendous anointing and anchors for my soul I have entitled “NO MATTER WHAT.” In a dictionary of idioms and phrases the phrase, “NO MATTER WHAT,” means in any event; without regard to what happens (in the future) or whatever the conditions are. Here are some daily thoughts to ANOINT and ANCHOR our soul NO MATTER WHAT:
A. NO MATTER WHAT evil or negative events happen it is never God’s fault so I will not blame God, because God is for me Romans 8:31.
B. NO MATTER WHAT has happened to me in the past God never consults my past to determine my future; God is a God hope, restoration, and new things Isaiah 43:18.
C. NO MATTER WHAT is going on in my present circumstances it does not disqualify me from my future. I am not powerless or a victim but a victor; I will not feel sorry for myself for I am more than conqueror in Christ Jesus Romans 8:37.
D. NO MATTER WHAT my feelings are, I can master my emotions because I know feelings follow thoughts and I can control my thoughts., “For I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” Philippians 4:13.
E. NO MATTER WHAT people do to me it cannot stop me from my future unless I let it. “…for there shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life…” Joshua1:5.
F. NO MATTER WHAT losses have happened, I will not just calculate my losses but I will take inventory of what I have as a seed and sow it to make something good to happen. Seed is God’s gift to me to create my future and there is never a day in my life that I do not have something as a seed that I can sow.
