knowing purpose

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
2 Timothy 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works,

Knowing our purpose in life can help us make determinations as to the relationships we allow in our life. Good relationships support and add fuel to the assignment of God in our life or the works we are called to do Ephesians 2:10.

Our adversary often exploits our weaknesses to distract or stop our assignment. Everyone has weaknesses and God is always faithful to reveal our weaknesses to us before it can be exploited Luke 22; 31, 32. Our enemy will work to increase or strengthen a personal weakness God is trying to remove from our life. An example of this is in Judges 16 in the story of Samson. Samson’s weakness was with women. He thought he could play with sin and still walk in the anointing God put on him for his assignment. He met his ultimate downfall through Delilah who breathed strength into Samson’s weakness. Samson did not need to get involved with many women to break his vow of consecration by cutting his hair, it only took one. It only required one wrong person to destroy his future. Every relationship will feed either a weakness or a strength in us. We have a tendency to only discern demons and pay very little attention to the people he can use.
