Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.
James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Things are changing so fast today that it is difficult to keep up with the pace. Nothing on earth is forever and nothing is as constant as change. Like it or not, the world is changing and if we want to stay on it, we need to change. There are certain changes we must never accept or adapt down to. Many of the changes going on in our society are in a downward moral spiral. The degradation and downward spiral of moral values is vexing to all uncompromising Christians. Yet as the tide of this immoral swamp is rising we must realize that God has placed us on this Earth for such a time as this.
We cannot run and hide or pretend it doesn’t exist but we must remain steadfast and unmoveable. The Bible says, “Have faith in God… Mark 11:22,” and know that our faith is in an unchangeable God. If you are looking for stability in these perilous times, put your faith in the Unchangeable God. He will never change His high, holy, righteous, and good standards for a rotting society for His standards are based on His character and His character never changes. There are many things about our God that never change:
1. HIS WORD
Psalm 119:89 For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.
2. HIS CHARACTER
Malachi 3:6 For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
3. HIS FAITHFULNESS
Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
4. HIS COVENANT
Psalm 89:34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
5. HIS COUNSEL (PLANS)
Psalm 33:11 The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
6. HIS WISDOM/KNOWLEDGE
Isaiah 33:6 And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the Lord is his treasure.
The year may have changed but God did not. He is the Rock of our salvation Psalm 62:2, 6, 7. We serve a God who never changes and I’ve determined I’m going to serve Him in righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost Romans 14:17.
