OUR CIRCUMSTANCES CANNOT SEPARATE US FROM GOD’S LOVE

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, for thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us,” Romans 8:35, 37.

Our present circumstances do not define us. We are defined by what God’s Word says about us whether it looks like it is so or even if we do not feel like it is so. Let God’s Word be true and everything else be a lie. We are to live by faith in what God’s Word says about us. Determine that you will not allow yourself to feel sorry for yourself, for we are not a powerless victim but a victor. Don’t allow what your present circumstances are to make you devalue your worth in God’s eyes or make you feel ashamed.

The Scriptures go on to say that no matter what our circumstances are they cannot stop God’s love for us. “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord Romans 8:38, 39.” There’s not a struggle we may face that can separate us from God’s love so I should never feel ashamed.
