“… but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits Daniel 11:32.”
2 Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
Salvation isn’t a feeling experience although it can produce good feelings. We may not always feel saved but we have a “know so” salvation and what I know can get me through bad feelings. I may not be feeling by the Spirit but I can know by the Spirit. “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God 1 Cor 2:12.”
Our relationship with God is based on knowledge from His Word and Spirit and the knowledge improves the relationship. Through worship, prayer, and reading, studying and meditation in the Word we can increase in the knowledge of God. Hosea 4:6 says that God’s people are destroyed for lack of knowledge not lack of sincerity, passion, commitment, and interest in God but because they just don’t know certain things. It is the people that know are in a class all by themselves, “… but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits Daniel 11:32.”
As Christians we are supposed to live by what we believe not what we feel our how things look. Feelings won’t always support the facts of God’s Word but the facts of God’s Word can change how we feel. We are to walk by faith and not by sight (2 Cor. 5:7). When things seem crazy in your circumstances and what we see looks ruthlessly abnormal, we have to live by what we know and believe from the Word of God. Keep your believer believing and keep the switch of faith turned on. Faith pleases God.
